Under The Bridge.

Under The Bridge.

So I lost my precious GoPro camera.

If it’s under the desert somewhere, may it stay there forever. If someone had taken it, that’s just messed up - they could have simply asked for it. This article’s got a lot to say about honesty and being moral to yourself before anyone else.

I’ve been interviewing plenty of applicants for a tourism job, and I was really surprised at how the applicants tried so hard to show me (the interviewer) someone that they’re not. I mean, I understand in these situations, we have to show our best, even if it’s a little overboard, but to the point where the applicants have to lie about the simplest details, like how much they were being paid in their previous jobs, or boost their attributes to make it look attractive when in fact they only know how to do one thing out of that list of a 100 things they mentioned they could do. That to me, is kind of hilarious. The irony in the matter is that if this person does get hired, he or she would have to perform these 100 things they said they could do, and when the employer soon realizes that they don’t know how to do those things, that would just be embarrassing wouldn’t it? *Insert Awkward Emoji*

Don’t get me wrong, not all of the people I interviewed were exaggerators, some were actually very straight to the point, serious, honest, and they did enjoy a few laughs, which is great. Honesty really is the best way to present yourself. It says a lot about your character, which is why I love honest people and try to keep them around me whenever I can.

Nice thing about January is that we got a little bit of rain, so I went about Fujairah with some chillers and we found the best place ever. One of them was here:

Did you even know this place existed about 20 minutes away from Fujairah You’re going to need a 4wheeler and you’re going to have to go beyond the mountains to get here. There are plenty of big rocks so you have to be careful. And to all those juveniles looking to sabotage anything pretty – please – keep your graffiti kit at home.

We also went to visit Awhala Fort, which was amazing, especially after I found out that this fort’s area dates back to the Stone Age. Here’s a cool panorama from top, and Mado photobombing the scenery as usual.

After checking out the castle, Mado didn’t have much to do so she amused herself by climbing on a tree. I kept telling her it’s not safe, she asked me why, I said because that’s where the Shaytans live. She didn’t believe me.

Fujairah’s got so much beauty, such a pretty place to be. I’ve lived here all my life and I still have a lot of things to discover in this city, which makes me look like a bum for not looking around the corner for most of the years I’ve been here.

If anyone’s interested to go to these places I wrote, there’s a tour company in Fujairah that takes you to really nice places. The nice thing is that they don’t take you on a bus, they take you with a 4 wheeler - check them out at www.fujtown.com. They focus mainly on Fujairah and the East Coast Region. They got good deals too - better check them out!
