In life, we meet plenty of people. Some stick, some stay for a while, and some are gone for good.
But these people I know… They mean the world to me.
The other day Areen and I rejoiced Kooka’s arrival to fujtown after about a year of struggle by not being able to meet her like a normal human being as she was away for half of the time.
The day started with awkward tears and big hugs to cover the random faces we make after we cry. I gave Kooka a sponge that said “for your face†on one side and “for your arse†on the other side. She loved it. She gave me the green lipstick that turns pink when you put it on. I loved it.
Kooka and I took off of her house, on our way to anywhere. We drove up the mountains, saw random lakes that were never there, both had sparkling water because we’re badasses.
After that we were on our way to pick up Areen. And of course, Areen being Areen, she was too lazy to go out so we went up to get her, except we ended up sitting in her living room because her mom made fatayer and tea.
We finally made Areen change and then we hit the road again. Not expecting that I take them to Khorfakkan for Kooka to see that one magical mountain road that makes you see Khorfakkan from above. I always drive by that road, but it looked more beautiful because the people I was with were beautiful people.
We then went to the beach, chilled there for a bit acting like goofheads. Here’s us swinging on the kids swing, with them kids watching us waiting for us to leave. Areen seemed like she was enjoyed it plenty.
So the weather was amazing, here’s a great photo:
If you look closer, you can see a couple of expats tanning. I guess they haven’t met Sharjah police yet.
Here’s another of a fisherman trying to catch fish. I don’t know much about fishing, but I know one thing: Fishes will not voluntarily come to shore for you to catch them. I don’t think that fisherman knew this vital piece of info.
Anyway, I loved all of these people and all of these things, because we are all back here. We are complete. I love you guys more than words could describe.
