So the past month didn’t exactly go as expected. Who expected rainfalls, sandstorms, black clouds, and crazy floods all in just one month? Must’ve been exhilarating for all of that to happen, especially that guy whos house wall was washed away in Gurayah. No one saw that coming.
Here’s a picture of the gloomy yet pretty weather.
Maybe it’s the weather, but is it just me - or is everyone around us going mad? The other day I was with a friend and we were talking about how people suddenly change out of the blue, without having proper explanation of this change. We came to understand that people behave this way because of their instability within themselves, and that they feel discomfort in certain aspects of their lives, therefore they project it onto you.
It’s pretty upsetting to see people behave in a way that you’re not used to, it makes them smaller in your eyes, because it shows that they have not cared enough for you to begin when they drop dramatic bombs onto you - there was no respect from them to begin with.
Nonetheless, whatever situation these people are in, they seem to forget that life moves on with or without them, that it is actually much better to go on without people constantly invading your positive energy.
“Don’t chase people,
Be an example,
Attract them,
Work hard and be yourself,
The people who belong in your life will come find you and stay,
Just do your thing.â€
Here’s a quote I always keep in mind, no matter what kind of place you are in, this will always lift you up.
Anyhow have you heard of pavlovas? If you dont - you don’t know what you’re missing. Raquel makes them and they’re literally the best light sweet you will ever taste. it’s Australian. Or Portugese? I’ll ask her. :)
Here’s a picture of it when it was in the oven.
Did you know that there’s this event called “Jibal Al Layl Translated “Mountains of the Night†- A first timer in Fujairah, here’s the poster for it:
It’s the first and only event that features Leylams (hawkers), fortune tellers (doesn’t it feel like a fairytale already?), star gazing, and most importantly, Aish W Laham, lamb rotisserie, you can call them and book a day with your friends/family. It’s plenty of fun, with super affordable rates.
If you have crazy pictures of the rain and all, send them over to @Sindiya23, don’t be shy.
Until next time, Fajrawis.
