The Other Side.

The Other Side.

On New Years, I made a random phone call to a restaurant and ended up with the number of one of the resorts over at Dibba.

Funny enough, the place we went to was the only place open for diving and snorkeling during New Years, and so I phoned Mado and she was like “But I’m flying out today,” so I was like “Oh well, if you miss your flight you miss it,” and she was like “What the hell then,” and then I picked her up and we drove like real thugs.

She didn’t miss her flight. We’re not that ghetto.

Here’s Mado getting ready. She frowns when she’s scared.

She was pretty much self contained until we hopped on the boat and the boat started to move - Mado decided to mention right at that moment that she doesn’t know how to swim. Awesome. We couldn’t turn the boat around but what we did was fear for our lives until the moment we jumped into the ocean. After that it wasn’t so bad.

Here’s Mado doing the snorkeling thing.

And here’s the beautiful view that surrounded us.

Salty water kept getting in my nose and Mado’s goggles was foggy and she couldn’t see much. but nonetheless, it was the best way to start the year.

The song that belongs to this trip is “The Other Side” by Jason Derulo. Better give it a listen.

It was so fascinating. Very beautiful and unpredictable - My two favourite type of characters. I can be quite shallow. Get it? Shallow? Water? Nevermind.

How was your newyears?
