I don’t mean the National Day. I mean the flu season.
Thank God the flu wave has passed. Everyone’s gotten effected, it’s like I had no where to go for 2 weeks because the virus is in every corner of Fujairah and might creep up on me from God knows where. It was like the virus was catching people one by one, there was no escape from it, and all you could do is patiently wait for it to end.
Even though I was one of the first to catch it, I was still hesitant to go outside, I heard these crazy viruses change and become another virus your body is not immune to and could get to you again. But the clouds were so fluffy I really couldn’t have just stayed home, so I went to check it out:
Have I ever told you why December is my favourite month? I probably have, like 3 times already. And you must already know why. If you still couldn’t figure it out I’ll give you a hint: Presents with my name on them.
But really I should be talking about the National Day, right? The time when you see everyone celebrating the country, whether they’re locals or expats, they’re all celebrating together. All flags are up and you get colour blind once again, you can feel the excitement in the air really.
Let me be the first one to wish you Happy National Day (but by the time you read this I would probably be the last one to wish you that), though nonetheless, Happy National Day Fajrawis!
And a very Merry Christmas to all y’all. I’m sure a lot of you would want to send money to loved ones abroad, if you are, check out Saad Exchange’s unbeatable rates! Seriously, their rates are unbeatable. Whether its Western Union, bank Transfers, you name it, and they have it.
With all the sad things that are happening around the world, it’s nice to have a getaway with celebrations and car parades with crazy people all around having a really good time. I don’t think I’ll be joining the parade this year round though, the car still suffers from last year’s parade, it couldn’t handle it. Maybe I’ll find another way. *Where there is a will, there’ a way*
